Calling all experienced or aspiring writers and photographers:
Immerse yourself in a dynamic culture, in an inspiring landscape of the wine country and the Andes Mountains, by attending a workshop sponsored by the Mendoza Intercultural Association.
The workshops are based at the Posada de Rosas, a boutique inn located in the center of Mendoza city. They offer a combination of seminars and practical experience under the guidance of a highly-skilled, highly-credentialed teachers.

Workshop leader Camille Cusumano will cover key topics including the art of reporting and researching, how to pitch your article or book to an editor, how to find your own voice as a writer, and self-editing.
Cusumano is an American writer and editor who divides her time between San Francisco and Buenos Aires. In addition to her book, “Tango, an Argentine Love Story” her published works include cookbooks, travel anthologies, essays and travel and food articles for publications including The New York Times, The Washington Post, Yoga Journal, and Islands magazine.

Participants in this intimate photographic workshop will have an excellent opportunity to shoot with a professional photographer, learn photo tips and get your work reviewed by an expert.
Alison Wright’s work has appeared in National Geographic and other world-wide periodicals including Smithsonian Magazine and the New York Times. She has published four books of her writing and photographs and is a recipient of the Dorothea Lange Award in Documentary Photography and a two-time winner of the Lowell Thomas Award Travel Journalism Award.

Exploring a region’s food and wine offers fascinating glimpses into local personalities, and reflections of the history and culture of a people. This writing workshop will focus on traditional Argentine food and wine as well as the creative gastronomic scene spurred by world-wide interest in Mendoza wines. Participants will learn how to brainstorm ideas, find unique story angles, craft a query, research topics and interview subjects, with the goal of writing a draft and then a polished article.
Workshop leader Maria Finn taught for six years in the English department at Hunter college in New York. Her essays have been anthologized in The Best Food Writing 2006 and The Best Women's Travel Writing 2007, and she’s published articles in The New York Times, Gastronomica, Saveur, been a finalist for I many fiction awards; and is a commentator for the ABC News Now program Exclusiva, covering culture and news from Latin America and Hispanic communities in the United States.
